Has California Finally Had Enough? Latest Poll finds that nearly half of likely California voters are considering voting for a Republican to be their next governor

Speaking of climate change fanaticism, the folks in the epicenter of hysteria – California – may be having second thoughts.
Several cities have dropped planned bans on the use of natural gas for heating, hot water and cooking. A “freedom of heating” ballot initiative is planned for 2026. A January poll found the idea favored by 67% to 18% by voters.
A recent survey by pollster David Wolfson found that nearly half of likely California voters are considering voting for a Republican to be their next governor.
That’s amazing, because more than 1.5 million mostly Republican voters have fled the Golden State in recent years.

CA legislature has a collectivist super majority. An R governor will just be a speed bump.

It would really help if they forbid DemonRATS from counting ballots and taking 6 months to do it.

Moot. The rats have welded the door shut. It is even illegal to ask for ID when voting. They have so rigged the voting that it would take a 20 point difference to overcome it. They have reached the shoot your way out point but the chumps don’t even know it.

Poeple bitch a lot, but will still drink the poisoned Kool-Aid because they like the flavor. It may kill them, but hey! It’s tasty!

LOL...”69% think California’s Political Leaders have not done enough to bring down energy/utility costs.”
They have done NOTHING at all to bring down energy costs. Everything they’ve done has been done to drive UP energy costs. They want to make energy unaffordable to “save the earth.”
The question should have been “Have California’s ‘leaders,’ in their endless fanatical quest to ‘save the earth,’ driven energy costs too high?”

At best, they’ll get a RINO like Schwarzenegger was.

Several eastern states that are deep blue sometimes elect a moderate Republican as governor. While the likes of Chris Christie or Larry Hogan are not social conservatives, they do tend to curb economic overreach by Democrat-run legislatures. Both New Jersey and Maryland went back to Democrats in the governor's office after the RINO left.
The only way California, or Illinois, New York, and the other deep blue states can be cleaned up is if the Federal government can achieve the goals of making elections more honest, which President Trump is trying to achieve by executive order

I'm not optimistic. What sealed the deal on the one-party status of Kali was the infusion of revenue from Silicon Valley, and only the severe reduction in that revenue will place the pressure necessary to effect real change. Companies are departing, yes, but not fast enough to force reform.
Fat cats in Southern Kali are looking forward to a huge windfall from the federal government in the form of disaster relief and re-imagining the entire place being rebuilt on socialist precepts and with plenty of grift for all - think high-speed rail project on steroids. This beast is going to be exceedingly difficult to starve. For what happens in the meantime, a glance at downtown San Francisco gives a clue.

“Considering’ doesn’t cut it.
Only a mass exodus from the democrat party will change things.

And after an actual human being is nominated as the ‘R’ candidate, the liberal media will initiate its in depth rectal exam.
Any real or perceived flaws will be accentuated. If none are found, they will be created.
Enough of the unwashed masses will be convinced by the media barrage that the guy or gal IS Hitler reincarnated and they will vote for the ‘D.’

The book The Liberal Hour by John Kenneth Galbraith which I read when it was new in 1960 theorized that a lot of voters were on the verge of switching to vote Republican but when the curtain was closed in the voting booth it became “the liberal hour” for them and they voted Dem again.
I think of that image sometimes when I read news of close election losses for us.

They’ll be told “if you vote GOP they will end your Social Security payments, black people will return to slave days and you won’t get the large benefits payoffs we we’ll give you when we get in office.”
“Sounds scary, Edna.”
“Yeah. MSNBC had a story saying that’s all true.”
