Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov says Moscow on track to sign a Ukraine peace deal

April 25 (UPI) -- Russian Foreign Minster Sergey Lavrov said the Kremlin was "ready to reach a deal" to end the war with Ukraine.
Lavrov told CBS News on Thursday in an interview that U.S. President Donald Trump "believes, and I think rightly so, that we are moving in the right direction," adding that Trump's optimism that progress was being made in efforts to settle the Ukraine conflict was founded in fact.

America and Russia need to make a deal together and treat Zelensky’s opinion about that deal as irrelevant.
That is the path to peace.
Acting like Zelensky gets a veto is the path to World War Three.

Russia will get East Ukraine, including Crimea and all areas east and south of the river.
America will get a permanent and very profitable ownership stake in the natural resources of those areas.

USA will say that we are walking away from the war. No more satellites. No more arms shipments.
Zelensky knows he has no choice.
Otherwise, Russia will make rapid advances and the whole front in the East will collapse.

If that's what Putin is negotiating to get, and Trump dares to agree with that, Ukraine will be completely opposed to that deal. So, the war will continue.
Dealing with Putin is a lot harder than Trump imagines.
