This 1971 Nissan Skyline 2000GT four-door sedan was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently refurbished and modified following importation to the US in 2023. It was repainted in silver as part of the build, which also involved installation of a modified L28 inline-six featuring three OER carburetors with velocity stacks. The car rides on a coilover suspension and wears 14″ Hayashi Racing wheels mounted over front disc and rear drum brakes. The cabin is outfitted with black fixed-back bucket seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and a wooden shift knob. Gear changes are through an RP71C five-speed manual transmission linked with an R200 differential, and further equipment includes an MSD ignition, a three-row aluminum radiator, an external oil cooler, and a stainless-steel exhaust system with a four-into-two header. This modified Skyline 2000GT sedan is now offered with 2023 correspondence from the California Air Resources Board as well as a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The exterior features “SurfLine” rear fenders and was refinished in its current shade of silver approximately three years ago. The front and rear windows were replaced at that time, according to the seller. Details include a body-color front air dam, a black hood, Talbot Berlin–style fender mirrors, and chrome bumpers.
Machined 14″ Hayashi Racing wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxes R888-R tires that have 2023 production date codes. The car rides on a coilover suspension n and is fitted with front strut tower brace and camber plates along with GAB rear shocks. Stopping is handled by R30-specification front discs as well as factory-style finned rear drums. The master cylinders for the brake and clutch hydraulic systems were replaced during the build, according to the seller.
The right-hand-drive cabin houses fixed-back front bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with ventilation grommets, and color-coordinated upholstery covers the rear bench. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and center console, while rubberized mats protect the replacement floor liners. A wooden shift knob was installed and the weather seals were replaced as part of the refurbishment.
The MOMO Black Edition steering wheel frames a 240-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The dual Autogage readouts mounted in the center console are not installed. The five-digit odometer shows 7k kilometers (~4k miles), and the seller states that true mileage is unknown.
The L28 inline-six was modified to displace 3.0 liters with an LD28-specification crankshaft and oversized FJ28 pistons, according to the seller. The engine breathes through three OER carburetors with a heat shield and fluted velocity stacks, and further equipment reportedly includes an N42 cylinder head, an E30 camshaft, a Kameari high-output alternator, and an MSD 6A ignition. Cooling is handled by a three-row aluminum radiator as well as an external oil cooler paired with a high-capacity oil pan.
The seller tells us that the RP71C five-speed manual transmission is accompanied by a lightweight flywheel and a Super Comp clutch kit and is linked with an R200 differential. The four-into-two header flows into a stainless-steel exhaust system.
Identification number GC10-069264 is displayed on the chassis plate and can also be seen stamped on the inner-left sill in the photo gallery below.
