This 1997 Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution is one of approximately 2,700 examples produced, and it was listed on BaT in February 2025 following the seller’s acquisition in 2024 and subsequent importation to the US. The vehicle is finished in Satellite Silver Metallic with Ralliart-style graphics, and power comes from a 3.5-liter V6 linked with a five-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials. Riding on 16″ alloy wheels, the truck is further equipped with Evolution-specific bodywork, dual hood scoops, quad fog lights, and a roof spoiler. Inside, the Recaro front bucket seats are trimmed in black cloth and are accompanied by automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, and a Panasonic GT20 navigation system. This Pajero Evolution shows 82k kilometers (~51k miles) and is now offered in California with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The Pajero Evolution was introduced in 1997 after being developed as a homologation model for the 1998 running of the Paris-Dakar Rally. This example is finished in Satellite Silver Metallic (A69), and it was fitted with Ralliart-style graphics under current ownership. Additional details include an Evolution-specific front bumper with quad fog lights in addition to flared fenders with front cooling ducts, a fender-mounted mirror, a roof spoiler, dual hood scoops, window rain guards, and side steps. The power-folding mirrors are inoperative.

The 16″ six-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 265/70 Radar Renegade A/T5 white-letter tires showing 2024 date codes, and a covered spare is affixed to the rear cargo door. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock discs.

The right-hand-drive cabin houses Recaro front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench trimmed in black cloth with patterned inserts. A Panasonic GT20 navigation system has been mounted to the dash, and appointments include a cassette stereo, automatic climate control, and power windows and locks.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A compass and readouts for battery voltage and oil pressure are mounted atop the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 82k kilometers (~51k miles), approximately 65 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 3.5-liter 6G74 V6 features MIVEC variable valve timing and was factory rated at 276 horsepower and 256 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was carried out in October 2024.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a locking center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials.
The vehicle has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board, and it has not passed a California smog test.
