This 1984 Chevrolet K5 Blazer was refurbished and modified from 2021 to 2024 with work involving the installation of the 6.0-liter Vortec V8, a repaint in bronze and white, and the reupholstering of the interior. Equipment includes a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, 15″ Rally wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, a removable hardtop, a receiver hitch, fog lights, front bucket seats, a folding rear bench, power windows, power locks, and air conditioning. Modifications include Dakota Digital gauges, an Alpine stereo, Rockford Fosgate audio, power-retracting running boards, and LED headlights. This K5 Blazer was acquired by the seller in 2025 and is now offered at no reserve with service records and a California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was refinished in bronze and white, and the weatherstripping, windshield, and trim were replaced. Exterior equipment includes a removable fiberglass hardtop with sliding side windows as well as a receiver hitch, fog lights, folding side mirrors, and an antenna. AMP Research power running boards, Holley RetroBright LED headlights, and window tint were added.
The 15″ Rally wheels are mounted with 33×12.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums, the latter of which were replaced in 2024 along with the power steering pump.
Interior work involved replacing the seat foam and upholstery, carpeting, dash pad, and window regulators. Sound insulation was installed, and additional features include an Alpine touchscreen stereo with CarPlay and Bluetooth, Rockford Fosgate audio, power windows, power locks, and air conditioning. The AC compressor was also replaced.
Instrumentation consists of Dakota Digital RTX gauges with TPMS sensors on the wheels and exterior temperature sensors. The digital odometer indicates 16k miles, which is said to represent the mileage since the build was completed. Approximately 300 miles were added under current ownership.
The 6.0-liter Vortec V8 is said to have been sourced from a 2006 Hummer H2 and serviced with replacement oxygen, knock, crank position, and cam sensors, valve cover and intake gaskets, rear main and timing cover seals. The oil pump, water pump, alternator, crank pulley, and exhaust manifolds were also replaced, and a BP Harnesses wiring harness was installed. An EFI fuel pump is fitted inside a replacement 31-gallon fuel tank. Cooling is handled by dual electric fans and a factory-style radiator.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A front-mounted Derale transmission cooler is fitted. The exhaust system includes 2.5″ piping with an in-line Magnaflow muffler and a resonator.
A photocopy of the dealer invoice lists factory equipment and shows initial delivery to Jim Keil Chevrolet-Oldsmobile of Grass Valley, California.
The truck has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board since the engine swap, and it has not passed a California smog test. Therefore, it cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer.
The truck was factory equipped with a diesel engine, and the California title indicates “D” as the fuel type.
