Nordic Semiconductor has announced the nRF54LM20A, a high-memory addition to its nRF54L Series of ultra-low power wireless SoCs. Built on the company’s 22 nm technology platform, the device provides developers with more resources to design advanced Bluetooth LE and Matter products for consumer, industrial, and healthcare applications.
According to Nordic, the nRF54LM20A integrates a 128 MHz Arm Cortex-M33 processor, a 128 MHz RISC-V coprocessor, and an expanded peripheral set that includes high-speed USB and support for up to 66 GPIOs. It is equipped with 2 MB of non-volatile memory and 512 KB of RAM, offering headroom for complex applications such as Matter-based smart home devices without requiring external memory.

The SoC features Nordic’s fourth-generation ultra-low-power 2.4 GHz multiprotocol radio, supporting Bluetooth LE, Channel Sounding introduced in Bluetooth 6.0, IEEE 802.15.4-2020 for Thread, Matter, and Zigbee, as well as proprietary 2.4 GHz modes up to 4 Mbps. Compared to the nRF52 Series, the nRF54L line delivers up to twice the processing power, three times the efficiency, and as much as 50 percent lower power consumption.

It is fully supported by the nRF Connect SDK and works with the broader nRF Connect toolchain, giving developers access to a wide range of samples, modules, and libraries. Nordic also provides training resources through the Nordic Developer Academy, where courses such as nRF Connect SDK Fundamentals and Bluetooth LE Fundamentals have already attracted more than 25,000 participants.
Further Information
Samples and development kits for the nRF54LM20A are available now through Nordic’s project-based early access program, with production expected to begin in Q1 2026. The nRF54LM20 DK is listed on Mouser’s product page, though stock availability has not yet been announced.
