This 1996 Alfa Romeo Spider was imported to the US from Germany under previous ownership in September 2022 and subsequently purchased by the seller. It is finished in red with a black convertible soft top over black leather and powered by a 2.0L Twin Spark inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. It rides on 16″ AZEV aluminum wheels fitted over disc brakes at all four corners and is further equipped with projector-style headlights, fog lights, an Alpine head unit, a short shifter, air conditioning, and power windows. This Type 916 Spider is now offered at no reserve in California with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The Type 916 GTV and Spider were designed by Pininfarina and first debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1995. This one is finished in red and is equipped with a black convertible soft top, projector-style headlights, fog lights, a third brake light, and a full-width light bar out back. The seller reports paintwork under previous ownership and notes that some body panels are not a perfect color match. Photos of wrinkles in the soft top and rear window are presented in the gallery.

The 16″ AZEV aluminum wheels are wrapped in Tourador X Wonder TH1 tires measuring 205/50. Braking power comes from discs at all four corners. Koni shocks have been fitted at the rear, and a front set of Koni struts is included in the sale.

The bolstered bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with embroidered Alfa Romeo logos on the backrests and are accompanied by a black dashboard as well as a red center console. An aftermarket short shifter and metal pedal covers have been added along with an Alpine stereo and polished faux roll hoops behind the seats. Further appointments include air conditioning as well as power windows and mirrors. The embroidered Alfa Romeo logo on the driver’s seat is faded, and the seller notes that the speakers crackle.

The instrument cluster houses a 260-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline, while a centrally mounted clock is flanked by supplementary gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 147k kilometers (~91k miles), approximately 4k of which have been added under current ownership.

The 2.0L Twin Spark inline-four features four valves per cylinder and was factory rated at 148 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that a timing belt service was performed while the car was in Germany prior to its September 2022 arrival in the US. An oil change was performed in September 2025, and a replacement timing belt kit, spark plugs, and valve cover gasket are included in the sale.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The exhaust system features EDEX mufflers as well as quad Zender-branded finishers.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage from four entries beginning in 2022.
The vehicle has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board.
