This 1991 BMW 325iX Touring is a European-market example that was imported to the US from Switzerland in 2019 by its previous owner, from whom the seller purchased the car on BaT in December 2021. Work under current ownership has totaled over $28k and involved installing a Dinan ECU chip and TC Kline suspension, refreshing the interior, and performing an R134a air-conditioning conversion along with replacing the flex joint, alternator, power steering pressure line, front control arms, tires, various powertrain seals and gaskets, and more as detailed below. Power is provided by a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six mated to a five-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. Finished in Salmon Silver Metallic over black leather upholstery, the car is further equipped with 15″ basketweave alloy wheels, Euro-spec headlights, fog lights, a rear wiper, a Panasonic CD stereo, and power front windows. This E30 Touring is now offered in California with owner’s manuals, 2021-2025 service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.
Factory-finished in Sterling Silver Metallic (244), the car was repainted in Salmon Silver Metallic under prior ownership following rust and dent repairs. Exterior details include European-market headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, a rear-window wiper, and tinted rear windows. The tailgate was repainted and fitted with a replacement glass seal in July 2025 by AG Custom Restorations of Downey, California, at which time the rear tow hitch was removed. Dings are noted by the seller, and the cover for the front tow-eye receiver is missing.
Silver-finished 15″ basketweave alloy wheels were mounted with 205/55 Yokohama Advan Fleva tires in February 2024. A TC Kline suspension kit was installed in 2021 by Marc Norris’s Bavarian Workshop of West Hills, California, and braking is handled by ventilated front and solid rear discs with Bosch ABS. Additional work under current ownership included installing 15mm rear-spring perches and replacing the front control arms, bushings, and brake-pad wear sensors.
The replacement front seats and the split-folding rear bench are upholstered in black leather, and a 2021 interior refresh totaled approximately $10k and included installing replacement Anthracite carpeting and repairing trim. The air conditioning system was converted to use R134a refrigerant in 2023. Additional appointments include a Panasonic CD stereo, an onboard computer, and power front and roll-up rear windows. Switchgear and wiring for front-seat heating are in place, although the seats are not equipped with heating elements.
The re-covered three-spoke steering wheel frames a 240-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,250-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 194k kilometers (~121k miles), approximately 4,400 of which were added under current ownership. The seller states that the odometer gears have been replaced.
The 2.5-liter M20B25 inline-six was reportedly overhauled in 2020, and it received a Dinan ECU chip in late 2021 at Bavarian Workshop. The seller notes that a new fuel pump has been fitted, and service completed since 2023 by JMP Autowerkz of Canoga Park has involved replacing the alternator, upper radiator hose, power steering pressure line, fuel hoses, accessory belts, and downstream exhaust manifold gaskets along with the valve cover and oil pan gaskets. The battery was replaced in April 2025, and a new muffler was installed in July 2025.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, an open front differential, and viscous-coupling center and rear differentials. The clutch was replaced in 2020, and the flywheel was resurfaced. Under current ownership, the transmission-output and selector-rod seals were also replaced by JMP Autowerkz, along with the driveshaft flex disc, left-rear differential output seal, left axle seal, and right-front CV joint boots.
Owner’s manuals, service records from current ownership, and spare keys will accompany the vehicle.
The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
The vehicle has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board.
