This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300E was modified in 2021 with the installation of a turbocharged and intercooled Toyota 2.5-liter 1JZ inline-six along with a Nissan CD009 six-speed manual transmission and a clutch kit from Action Clutch. Finished in blue over Palomino leather upholstery, the car is further equipped with 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels, Godspeed coilovers, SL500 brakes, aftermarket lower bodywork, a sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, a Kenwood CD stereo, automatic climate control, power windows, a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob, and cruise control. This modified W124 300E is offered at no reserve in California by the seller on behalf of its owner with a clean Carfax report and a clean Idaho title in the owner’s name.

Factory-finished in Midnight Blue (904), the car has been fitted with aftermarket lower bodywork and repainted. Exterior details include a steel sunroof, fog lights, a power antenna, and a mono-blade windshield wiper. Paint correction and the application of a ceramic coating are said to have been carried out in preparation for the sale. There is a dent below the right-front turn signal.

Silver-finished 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels are mounted with 225/40 front and 255/35 rear Lionhart LH-503 tires. Godspeed coilovers and CSP adjustable front camber plates are said to be in place, along with R129 SL500 braking components.

The power-adjustable front seats, along with the rear bench, are upholstered in Palomino leather, and wood trim accents the cabin. Additional appointments include automatic climate control, a Kenwood CD stereo, a MOMO wood shift knob, power windows, and cruise control. Worn upholstery and cracked trim are depicted in the gallery.

The wood-rimmed MOMO steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and fuel economy. A Link CAN gauge has been added to the center console. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 144k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.5-liter Toyota 1JZ inline-six was installed in 2021 and reportedly built using the following components:

The engine swap has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board, and the car cannot pass a California smog test. Therefore, it cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer.
