The bill, led by Rep. Sara Jacobs (D-Calif.), was introduced Tuesday and is called the Protect U.S. National Security Act. It aims to prove that USAID reform should abide by laws and “not harm American soft power” as the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) looks to cut federal spending at various agencies and departments.
“Over the past 10 days, Elon Musk and DOGE have shut down USAID’s website, closed its headquarters, placed thousands of staffers on leave, and issued a stop work order on most foreign assistance – including life-saving humanitarian assistance,” Jacobs said in a release.

Jacobs, as the ranking member on the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee that oversees USAID, introduced the bill with 15 other Democrats.
The legislation, first reported by Reuters, looks to ban the Trump administration from using U.S. funds to pay the salaries of employees cutting USAID, including those employed by DOGE.

Jacobs highlighted her career working to reform and support USAID, noting that if the U.S. eliminates the international aid agency, it will be “a death sentence for millions of people.”

The judge will issue a court order that Trump must sign it.
These judges are making the federal courts look like the Biden DOJ and FBI.

“Protect U.S. National Security Act. “ You have to give the Demonrats credit for being masters of deception. The name of the bill is nothing more than deception and obfuscation. How did the “Inflation reduction act” work out RATS????

President Trump would need to veto the original and return it to Congress.
Then in a White House ceremony he could burn a copy.
Lol.

My FRiends,
Our great President has forced the democrats to run on a platform based on permitting tax revenue waste, fraud and abuse.
The democrats are going to really want to make this their hill to die on?

Or better yet, get a Nancy Pelosi lookalike (poor girl!) to tear it up standing behind him.

Excellent news. Very bad chess move by the left.
By claiming the only way to stop PDJT from closing departments is by a specific Congressional bill, they will set a precedent for PDJT shuttering dozens of departments at will when the bill fails. (Which it will.)
