The Colorado Buffaloes have zero commits to their 2027 recruiting class, which is typical for a Deion Sanders-led program that moves for players later in the cycle. However, that hasn't stopped the Buffs from going after one of the top quarterbacks in the class.
Their current top target is five-star Kavian Bryant, a five-star signal caller from Palestine, Texas.
He has made several visits already during the 2025 season, and he announced his top five schools on Sunday night. The Buffaloes were included in the group, which also includes Big 12 rival Texas Tech, Texas, SMU and Florida State.
Bryant took a visit to Colorado last weekend, where he witnessed the Buffs' loss to BYU. He was seen chatting with "Coach Prime" before kickoff. He has visited all five of his finalists for a game this year and seems close to a commitment.
As it stands, Texas Tech seems like the team to beat, with the Red Raiders receiving multiple expert predictions to land the talented signal caller.
Bryant is ranked as the No. 29 overall player and the No. 2 quarterback according to the 247Sports Composite.
Deion Sanders has pulled off the unpredictable before, like prying Julian Lewis away from USC and landing star left tackle Jordan Seaton. Colorado should not be counted out, but it does feel like a long shot given Texas Tech's resources and the in-state connection.
